Please join us on Saturday, March 14, 2026, for the next Open House at Point Vicente Lighthouse, 10am-3pm. Free parking and free access to the public this one Saturday each month Point Vicente light station is open to the public.
*EXCITING NEWS!* During this March Open House, we will be hosting a 'speaker series' talk at 11:30 am. "Moving the Unmovable: Engineering the Rescue of the Highland Light" is the featured topic given by guest speaker Wayne Kalayjian, one of the main structural engineers who moved the Highland Light house in Cape Cod 450 feet from an eroding cliffside. Free lecture! Grab a seat and enjoy the outdoors while learning something new and fascinating! (See more details in next 'News' post)
In addition to the talk, enjoy a relaxing stroll on the grounds of this historic light station, ask a volunteer Coast Guard Auxiliarist any question about the lighthouse and its history, and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean and Catalina Island (hopefully no fog that day...). Be sure to stop by the Friends of the Point Vicente Lighthouse's table and find out more about the historic restoration project in the works! Hope to see you there.
